Who are we looking for?

We’re seeking young, passionate individuals to help us promote the humanities. If that sounds like you, we’d love to see you apply!


Currently, we have three open positions; one (1) for Outreach & Marketing and two (2) for Submission Evaluators. As we are a nonprofit, both are unpaid, voluntary positions. See below for more information.

Note: One hour a week is an estimated average; there will be a large influx of submissions near the end of each competition cycle.

Who’s eligible?

We’re looking for students in middle school, high school, and college. If you’re eligible for our competition, you’re eligible for these roles!

If you’re applying as a submission evaluator, you must have submitted to the competition at least once, in either category. If you’re apply as outreach, we prefer people with previous experience.

You may only apply for one position.

How do I apply?

Just like our competition, we’ll do a two-stage screening process for prospective team members. The short online application (see below) is the first step. If we think you’re an excellent candidate, we will invite you to a short, informal interview.
